How to Replace?

Make sure all power going to the motor is turned off
Leave the slide open about 6 inches so that there's no pressure on the drive shaft that connects to each side of the motor
Disconnect the shafts from the motor by removing the bolts that fasten the shafts (these square tubing shafts are telescopic so you can easily slide them out of the way)
Slide the other shaft on the other side of the motor out of the way
Unplug the 12-volt wire harness, then remove the 4 bolts holding the motor on the center plate and the motor will come off
Check if everything matches in the old and new motor, including the wire harness plug, and align the new motor on the mounting plate
Bolt the new motor back in with all 4 bolts and tighten them down
Reconnect the shafts, if the bolt holes don't line up, reconnect the wire harness and have someone operate the slide switch until you can slide the bolt back in
If both sides or one side is slightly off, use a pair of channel locks to adjust it so you can insert the bolt
Once the bolt is back in, tighten it
Securely strap the wire harness to the motor to keep it out of the way and prevent tangling or accidental contact while moving items in and out of the cargo compartment
Test the motor by operating the slide in and out a few times to ensure it works properly
